Can Entrecard be bought?

Hey guys. I’m no Business professional or anything and this post is just going to be based on my personal opinion.

Whilst it is still early days for Entrecard, I have thought about the possibility that they could be acquired. Entrecard is the latest technology for bloggers, and we love it. Entrecard has been making waves in the blogosphere and is starting to become one of those things all blogs have.

My question is, “Can Entrecard be bought?” I’m not sure really. It sure has the momentum to keep going and become a hot acquisition, but the thing is, is it worth buying?

This is a bit of a problem as Entrecard, as of writing, has not monetised their service in any way. The only money involved in the service are Entrecard credits. I also don’t think that, from the way Entrecard works, it will be able to monetise itself.

Who will buy Entrecard? I have a few prospects. I think that the first one is Google, as they buy anything these days. The second, could be MyBlogLog (Yahoo basically). MyBlogLog rides on the community wave, and many people still use it. I think Entrecard would integrate well with MyBlogLog, and bring some renewed use to it. The final prospect is Text Link Ads? I just think that they could find a way to integrate it into their paid link system.

Tell me what your thoughts are on this matter in the comments; Who you think will acquire them, Will they be acquired at all and Can they be monetised?
