Do people comment because blogs DoFollow?

Recently, I saw a post over at Terence’s blog, called I Do Follow, Do You? It was about whether reader’s comment because they can get a backlink, or because they really want to. This is especially true when it comes to a blog with ‘dofollow’.

I know that I am more likely to comment when there is DoFollow turned on. This is because I can probably make a comment to a post of mine that is relevant to it. Then, I get a backlink. Yeah! Thing is, blog owners usually just delete these comments or take out the link. I know that I have done that before.

I may actually use Dofollow in the future because I have a feeling that it is a good incentive to comment, although I am not sure because many people take advantage. I have actually seen many blogs with DoFollow, and they do have many comments.

The Question is, would you put DoFollow on your blog?
